The three main materials most commonly applied to laboratory sinks include:

  • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
  • Polypropylene (PP)
  • Polyethylene (PE)

The Johndec range of laboratory sinks are thermo-formed and fabricated from the above materials. Incorporating a self draining base and recessed outlet to take 50mm waste, Johndec sinks have become an industry standard. All exterior edges and corners are rounded for the users protection. Their clean lines and flush mounting give both new and remodelled labs a more modern appearance.

Johndec Engineering Plastics are able to offer a standard moulded size range of sink bowls but also can fabricate sink bowls to suit customer individual requirements and sizes. Sink bowls and troughs can also be moulded into drainer tops, featuring a unique raised rim on all four sides for control of spilt liquids, and radiused edges and corners on the outside for users comfort and safety.

Methods range of chemical resistant waste fittings are injection moulded from high grade Polypropylene (P.P.) co-polymer material. Owing to P.P. compatibility to a vast number of acids, alkalis and reagents, these products are now commonly used in laboratories of schools, colleges and industries.
